The Art of Lost Wax Carving

At Accents Jewelry, Steven Hanna didn’t just create and curate beautiful designs—he shared his knowledge, keeping the art of lost wax carving alive through hands-on workshops. A master of the craft, Steven taught designers how to sculpt intricate wax models, which were then cast into metal, preserving a centuries-old tradition in jewelry-making.

Through his workshops, Steven not only passed down a timeless craft but also built a community of artists, makers, and dreamers—ensuring that Accents remained not just a jewelry store, but a place where creativity and craftsmanship flourished.

But these workshops were more than just a place to learn a technique—they became spaces for discovery and mentorship. Over the years, Steven used his intuitive, one-on-one approach to nurture emerging talent, guiding the truly inspired to build their own collections—many of which are now represented in some of the finest jewelry galleries in the country or in retail spaces of their own. Some designers even joined the Accents team, selling their creations in the store and contributing to its ever-evolving selection of unique, handmade jewelry.
